The inaugural FANS Youth Film Festival hosted by Film Access Scotland & Creative Scotland launched in November 2018. The festival is programmed and delivered by Youth Volunteers.
We liased with the Youth Team for this branding project. The branding developed as the initial marketing campaign grew towards the collateral for the event. The graphic assets shifted and rearranged, maintaining a consistency but also an unpredictability which summed up the spirit of the festival.
We delivered - Design & Branding. Creative Strategy. Print Design.

When discussing the brand, we wanted to set it apart from competitors by not going down the usual bee themed route. Taking our queue from Scandinavian brands, we devised a bright & clean graphics system. The main framing graphic of the brand is dynamic ‘W’ shape that folds out and can be used in various forms much like the product itself.
What we delivered - Design & Branding. Brand Strategy. Packaging Design. Print Design & Management. Merchandise.

Just a few years ago, Megan McDonald started out making candles as gifts from her kitchen. Today, her company, Sandwick Bay Candles, sell a range of products globally from her workshop in the Outer Hebrides.
It's been a delight to help this inspirational lady. From her creative briefs, I offered considered graphic solutions, lifting her humble tins into desirable products.

Based in Stornoway, Maciver Project Services are a project and programme services company that had expanded in recent years. Beyond its main Consulting service, they now offered Digital Media Management.

For its 25th year, the Stornoway Saltire Celtic Supporters Club wanted a new logo for a new era. They also need a 25th symbol to mark their celebratory events.
Taking the turrets form Stornoway castle for inspiration we built custom letter to match. The double ‘S’ was neatly twisted to mimic the four leaf clover synonymous with the original Celtic Football Club Crest.

Sean Conway is a serial adventurer who had previously published the bestseller ‘Hell and High Water’ about his solo swim around the coast of Britain. His latest book was the story of his journey as he ran the length of Great Britain.
We produced a vectorised illustration to wraparound the cover. Sean had become famous for his long flowing beard which we used to convey the wild journey he undertook.
Although never selected as the final design, we and Sean were very pleased with it.
